The ENTAIL project aims to deepen the analysis of South Adriatic popular music by building upon the EArPieCe project’s efforts to recover and valorize a diverse musical and ethnological repertoire, emphasizing the importance of preserving and adapting traditions while promoting interregional collaboration to enhance cultural exchange and understanding, also with neurobiological evidences, within the lower Adriatic region.
ENTAIL aims to deepen the main points that emerged from the analysis carried out by EARPIECE project, in order to start creating new musical skills closely related to the interregional heritage that is being defined. Moreover, the project intends to conduct a techno-scientific study to understand whether neuroscientific analysis can be expanded to involve not only emotional reactions to listening, but also to sight, in order to technologically connote the analysed repertoires, highlighting their peculiarities and thus guaranteeing scalability and replicability. Project objectives are:
– The foundations for an increase of traditional “”professions””, (i.e. lutherie of traditional instruments);
– The generation of tourist and production attention on the craft, creative and musical sectors that the activities embrace;
– The improvement of professional and entrepreneurial skills to seize an opportunity for economic development from the craft of lutherie of traditional instruments, or music and dance production etc.;
– The creation of collaboration opportunities between musicians from different regions.
