37 students of the I.I.S.S. "E. Fermi" of Lecce (LE) were guests of DHITECH at the Ecotekne Campus of the University of Salento.
The appointments for the students of the Superior Schools of Salento, realized within the Project "Scientific Culture Promotion Days", now in its 4th edition, promoted by the Construction Service, Programming Scolastica Network and Provincial Heritage of the Province of Lecce, directed by Dario Corsini and realized by Gianni Podo.
Students were welcomed by the DHITECH referents who illustrated their main activities and District Research Projectsand the Technology Building which houses various companies, companies and research institutes. During the day, students also participated in presentations and workshops at companies:
- APPHIA SRL: Italian engineering company specializing in research and development of innovative solutions applicable to aerospace, naval, automotive and defence sectors. Apphia focuses on areas: Control and automation systems; Innovative Manufacturing; Engineering analysis; Business analysis. In the course of the workshops, students had the opportunity to learn about the aspects related to the use of sensors aimed at supporting decisions by deepening the possible and various fields of application (naval, civil, energy, precision agriculture, etc.) and the potential associated with the use of new technologies in complex systems.
- DHITECH SCARL: High Tech Technology District – Consortium Society attended by Universities, Public Research and Enterprises operating in the regional territory. The mission the District is to promote innovation in the regional economic and productive social system, in the context of regional, national and Community policies, through joint activities between public research institutions and private enterprises, promoting the technological transfer and the emergence of a new high-tech enterprise. The skills are in the areas: Nanotechnologie Molecolari for the Environment and Health; Tissuthal Engineering for Regenerative Medicine; ICT for Innovation in the Design of High Knowledge and Sustainable Products and Services. The activities concern: management and implementation of complex Research, Innovation and Training Projects; management and promotion of the Technology Building, equipped with state-of-the-art technological infrastructure; consulting with enterprises, bodies, research centres and universities in the design, presentation, management and reporting of projects funded by Community, national and regional programmes. The workshop focused on: Design and implementation of a LAN; IP addresses and subnetization; Laboratory with CISCO devices.
- EKA SRL: Spin-off of the University of Salento that was born in 2010 with the aim of providing advice on the methodologies and tools of Product Lifecycle Management, Business Process Management and Document & Content Management, and therefore support companies in the management, improvement and tracking of business, product and document development processes. The workshop was focused on: Design of a Web Application for applications IOT; Non-relative database; User Experience & Dashboard.
- ENGINEERING I.I. SPA SPA: Company for shares constituted in 1980 in the field of software and IT services, specialized in digital transformation in particular for finance, public administration (central, local, health), utilities, industry. The workshop focused on: Interaction with three-dimensional urban environments; Artificial intelligence for Smart City; Composition of objects in the Internet of Everything.
- EXPRIVIA/ITALTEL SPA: Company for Actions is one of the most important players in Italy in the field of digital technologies. The group offers comprehensive solutions to meet the growing demand for digital transformation and manages the entire ICT value chain, from infrastructure components to applications and services. The workshop focused on: Presentation of the Si Robotics project, where Exprivia-Italtel together with 16 other partners aim to implement technological solutions, easily adaptable, to help the elderly in AAL (Active Assisted Living) environments during their daily activities evaluating the progress of their physical and cognitive decline (fragility, dementia, slight cognitive deterioration). This project aims to implement innovative ICT robotics solutions where users, IoT devices, AI-powered social robots and objects connected to the Cloud will work together to create a sort of "cognitive agent" to anticipate user needs and provide assistance, monitoring and coaching solutions. Through the vision of some videos the experiments conducted in various application areas were shown to the boys, dialogue on possible future developments of the project; Presentation of V-REP robotic simulation software; Overview of the activities of the Exprivia-Italtel world.
- ZERODD: Software house founded in Lecce in 2006, by young professionals in the sector ICT, offering web and mobile solutions (native and cross-platform) at high innovation rate). The areas of specialization concern: Smart Communities; innovative actions of territorial development, through the design and implementation of solutions ICT and strategies of engagement for the creation of intelligent communities; Data and Information; analysis of large amounts of data and information to assist decision-making; Process Engineering. The workshop focused on: Neuromarketing; Social Network Analysis; Smart City apps; Industry 4.0.
