A four-day full immersion, which brought the top of the world's experts in the Neurosciences city to the Baroque City: the first edition of the world's Neuroscience industry closes with a more than positive budget. Summer on Neurosciences, organized by Dhitech, Apulian Technology District, in collaboration with the University of Salento and theSan Raffaele Hospital of Milan.
The event was also an opportunity to introduce Lecce and Salento to the many experts from all over the world: outside the school hours, space for trips to the sea and walks in Lecce by night, to the discovery of the bruise. Some of them had already been in Salento, but for many it was the first time in this hospitable land, which opens today more than ever to innovation and culture.
"We are proud to have organized an event of this calibre in Lecce, which has seen the participation of the most important neuroscientists and about one hundred specialists selected in Europe and America", explain the organizers, who emphasize: "It was a real pleasure to welcome these excellences in our Earth, with the awareness that this is only the first step towards the creation of an avant-garde centre on Regenerative Medicine, which is already mentioned thanks to the strategic collaboration between Dhitech, the University of Salento and the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan. ".
The aim of the Summer School was to provide students selected specifically throughout Europe and America, and to the Dhitech fellows, a precious opportunity to deepen and compare the development, function, damage, regeneration and remyelination of the peripheral nervous system with the approach of the translational medicine, i.e. aiming at the rapid transfer of research results to the clinical field.
"In the light of this gratifying experience, today more than ever we can say that synergistic work among our experts, the University of Salento and the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan is giving excellent results. The Community which gathers around our Technological District takes full responsibility for international relevance, both from the point of view of research and training. It is for all of us a great pleasure to have seen the Dhitech fellows engaged in this Summer School next to their Choirs selected from all over the world. ", concludes the President Lorenzo Vasanelli.
